Marco 2b Ultra — Used Compact Galilean Slit Lamp with Optilasa R-900

The 2b Ultra uses Galilean optics with continuously variable slit width and slit height, halogen illumination, and the standard Marco built-in cobalt-blue and red-free filter set. The Optilasa R-900 is a Goldmann-type applanation tonometer compatible with standard Goldmann prisms — providing the gold-standard IOP measurement on the same instrument as the slit-lamp exam.
According to a National Library of Medicine-indexed study (Can J Ophthalmol, 2015), yellow- and blue-filtered fluorescein imaging produces clinically superior conjunctival and corneal staining contrast — the standard slit-lamp biomicroscopy workflow the 2b Ultra was designed for.
Why Practices Choose the 2b Ultra
Marco Galilean optics — proven optical platform predecessor of the current G2/G5 Ultra Series.
