The iCare IC200 tonometer is the most versatile model in iCare’s rebound tonometry lineup, engineered to capture clinic-grade intraocular pressure (IOP) readings whether the patient is seated, reclined, or fully supine. Using iCare’s patented rebound technology, the iCare IC200 tonometer makes momentary contact with the cornea via a lightweight single-use probe — the contact lasts a fraction of a second, so the exam is painless and needs no anesthetic drops and no puff of air.
The defining advantage of the IC200 over earlier rebound tonometers is its 200-degree positional freedom: the device measures IOP accurately across a 200° range of orientation, making it ideal for bedridden, sedated, or non-ambulatory patients. Its newer Quick Measure mode captures a reading from two or three individual measurements instead of the standard six, shortening test time for challenging patients.
