Prefer to wait for the Topcon CT-80 Computerized – Non-Contact Tonometer – NEW? Request availability and we’ll source one for you.
The Topcon CT-80 Computerized Non-Contact Tonometer sets a new standard in air-puff tonometry by combining speed, precision and patient comfort into a streamlined instrument designed for modern eye-care practices. With its dual-sensor measurement system, the CT-80 uses both a light sensor and a pressure sensor to capture intraocular pressure (IOP) readings with increased accuracy — mitigating the influence of ambient altitude or atmospheric pressure variations.
Designed for workflow efficiency, the CT-80 features a new alignment bar, an improved air cylinder system, and measurement-interval reduction of more than 30 % compared to previous models. This enables quicker turnaround of patients, while the built-in printer and RS-232 connectivity support seamless data export to EMR systems or direct hard-copy output.
Patient-centric features include a soft air puff to reduce discomfort, and a triple-safety system comprised of an adjustable safety stopper, a “too close” display warning, and an audible buzzer to alert the operator if the device is too near the patient’s cornea. These features enhance safety and ease of use, especially in high-volume clinical environments.
From a clinician’s perspective, the CT-80 supports both automatic and manual measurement modes, has a working distance of 11 mm to the cornea, offers selectable measurement range (0-30 mmHg or 0-60 mmHg), and displays up to three readings per eye plus an average value on its monitor before printing.
Clinics that adopt the CT-80 benefit from its reliable build, compact footprint (approx. 272 × 505 × 430-458 mm), and manageable weight (~18 kg), making it suitable for exam lanes with limited space. Highly ideal for glaucoma screening, regulatory check-ups and routine IOP measurements, the CT-80 brings together advanced tonometry technology and practical clinical usability.
