Description

The ZEISS Humphrey Matrix 800 is a high-efficiency automated visual field perimeter designed for early detection and management of glaucomatous visual field loss. It leverages patented Frequency Doubling Technology (FDT), which uses frequency-doubled sinusoidal gratings to preferentially test the magnocellular (“M-cell”) pathway—allowing detection of field defects at a stage when standard perimetry might still appear normal.

Built for busy ophthalmic or optometry practices, the Matrix 800 is compact, portable and can operate in ambient light (no dark-room required), making it highly practical for space-constrained environments.

It supports both rapid screening (suprathreshold) tests and full threshold test libraries (10-2, 24-2, 30-2, N-30, Macula) for comprehensive glaucoma care, while featuring video eye-monitoring and user-friendly operation so even less experienced staff can conduct reliable tests.

The system offers connectivity to networks, EMRs and ZEISS’s FORUM data-management system via DICOM and USB/ethernet, facilitating integration into modern digital clinic workflows.

In short: a streamlined, clinic-friendly perimeter offering advanced sensitivity for early field loss, efficient testing time, and modern connectivity—all wrapped in a compact form factor.
