Topcon KR 8800 Autorefractor Keratometer — Used Auto Kerato-Refractometer

The Topcon KR 8800 is a desktop auto kerato-refractometer that captures objective refraction and keratometry in a single alignment. The Topcon KR 8800 uses Topcon’s Rotary Prism measuring system, which samples a wider area of the retina than single-point measurement, and it works through pupils as small as 2.0 mm. Readings for both eyes are shown side by side on the color LCD, with pupillary distance, corneal diameter measurement and an infrared retro-illumination view available from the same instrument. Results print on the built-in thermal printer or go out through USB and RS-232C ports. This used Topcon KR 8800 has been tested and is in excellent working order.

A study indexed by the National Library of Medicine found good agreement between three commonly used autorefractors, including Topcon’s KR-8900, in more than 2,000 children and adolescents, supporting the role of desktop autorefraction as a reliable objective starting point for refraction.
